Karen A. (Hardy) Steger

Karen Steger, 68, of Union Dale, died Friday morning at Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Dunmore. She and her husband Carl Steger would have celebrated their 51st Anniversary on December 21st.

Born November 21, 1948 in Bridgeport, CT, she is the daughter of the late John J. and Helen Matlack Hardy. A graduate of Westwood High School, Karen was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and she enjoyed crocheting. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Also surviving are a daughter Brenda Pecko and husband Dave, Vandling and Karl Steger and wife Reva, West Haverstraw, NY; three grandchildren Nicholas and Katherine Pecko, and Caitlyn Steger.

Funeral Service will be Tuesday at 11am in the Joseph W. Scotchlas Funeral Home, Inc., 621 Main Street, Simpson. Viewing will be Monday from 4 to 7 pm.
