Wayne Harold Tietz, 49, of Herrick Center died Tuesday afternoon after injuries suffered in a accident at Elk mountain. His wife is Tara Morrison Tietz.
Born November 23, 1961, in New Jersey, he is the son of the late Harold and Betty Hammond Tietz. He was Native American and a graduate of Dunellen High School, Dunellen, NJ. Wayne was employed at Elk Mountain year round for 15 years. He enjoyed the outdoors, and was a skilled Native American craftsman. He touched the lives of everyone that crossed his path. He was a loving husband and father, and will be greatly missed by all.
Also surviving are two sons, Jesse and John; and two daughters, Shea and Tarwyn; a mother and father-in-law, Jean and Frank Morrison, Brother-in-law, Justin Morrison and wife Michelle, and his entire Native American community.
Funeral service will be Saturday at 11:00 am at the Kevin M. Lesjack Funeral Home, 513 Main Street, Forest City. Interment Ararat Cemetery.
Friends may call Friday from 6-9 pm, and Saturday 10 am until service.
