Thomas R. Trusky, 92, of Forest City, peacefully entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior Tuesday evening at home. His beloved wife, Theresa Prybicien Trusky, died in 2005.
Tom was born November 22, 1930, in Carbondale, son of the late Frank and Della Slick Trusky. He was a 1948 graduate of Forest City High School. He was an Air Force veteran and, prior to retirement, worked more than 30 years as a service manager for IBM. Tom was a devout member of the Roman Catholic Community of Forest City. His deep and abiding faith was evident in his service to the church as a Eucharistic Minister of Ascension Parish.
Tom relaxed by playing golf and was a past member of Wivey’s Golf League and Butch’s Golf Tournament. He also liked playing pinocle and traveling to Monticello, NY. He and his wife enjoyed polka dancing and driving vacations to visit their children. He had a very special relationship with his great granddaughter, Annalise. He always looked forward to visits from her and hugs after mass on Sundays.
He is survived by his children Robert Trusky, Forest City; Deborah Trusky, Forest City; Christopher Trusky and wife, Kelly, TX; Donna Trusky and companion Mark Magdon, Clarks Summit; and Maria Koslosky and husband Jeff, MT; a sister Ruth Sterchak, Philadelphia; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by a brother Frank Trusky and a sister Florence Timko.
A viewing will be held Monday, February 20th from 7:00 – 9:00 pm at the Kevin Lesjack Funeral Home, 513 Main Street, Forest City. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, February 21st at 10:00 am at St. Joseph’s Church, Delaware Street, Forest City. Entombment in St. Anthony’s Cemetery, Forest City.
