Steven C. Jones

Steven C. Jones, 60, of Waymart, died Tuesday evening at the VNA Hospice Unit at Community Medical Center, Scranton. He is the husband of Lynn Honicky Jones, Waymart. They would have celebrated their 8th wedding anniversary on October 6th.

Born August 26, 1948, in Oceanside, NY, he was the son of the late Clara Emma Moran. He was a veteran of the Navy. Before retirement, he was a technician for the telephone company with New York Telephone, Verizon, and then NORTEL. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, fishing, and camping, and he loved working on his house. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Also surviving are two daughters Melissa Jones, Whitestone, NY and Lauren Jones, Greenlawn, NY, a sister Susan Wandzel, Bayshore, NY, and several nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother Daniel Shannon.

A celebration of his life will be private at the convenience of the family.
