Sharon E. Myer

Sharon E. Myer, 61, of Uniondale, died Tuesday evening at home. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Daniel Myer.

Born June 13, 1950, in Dover, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Horace and Elizabeth Matonak Smith. Sharon was a registered nurse, and prior to retirement she worked at River View Hospital and Freehold Hospital in New Jersey. She was an avid reader and enjoyed sewing. After retirement Sharon continued to pursue her passion for helping others and stayed active in natural healing research, seeking alternative cures and prevention methods. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Also surviving are two daughters, Alicia and husband Blake DeBord, Boone, NC and Elisabeth and husband Benjamin Fry, Mount Joy; a son Thomas Myer, Uniondale; a granddaughter, Madison Grace; and a sister Carol and husband Martin Domaliski, Verona, NJ.

A graveside service was held on Sunday April 15 at the Lyon Street Cemetery, Uniondale.
