Russell S. Beardsley

Russell S. Beardsley, 95, of Honesdale, died Saturday evening at the Forest City Nursing Center. He was preceded in death by his first wife Anna Mae and his second wife Carolyn.

Born January 11, 1918, in Honesdale, son of the late Warrin and Mary Ward Beardsley. He was an Army Veteran. Russell was a painter in Honesdale and a member of the Honesdale Fire Department. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and loved big game hunting. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

The family would like to offer a special thank you to the Forest City Personal Care and Nursing Center for their kindness, compassion, and care.

Surviving are a step-daughter Susan and husband Joe Dovin, Browndale, PA; and a grandson John Beardsly, Honesdale.

He was preceded in death by a son, Robert and a daughter-in-law, Anita.

Funeral will by Wednesday at 9:30am in the Kevin M. Lesjack Funeral Home, 513 Main Street, Forest City, with services by the Rev. Don Schaible. Interment in Indian Orchard Cemetery, Honesdale.

Viewing, Tuesday from 6-8pm.
