Rose Marie Slick, 83, Forest City, died Tuesday morning at Regional Hospital of Scranton. She was the wife of the late Harold Slick.
Born August 24, 1928, in Forest City, daughter to the late Anthony and Rose Novak Trelc. She was a devoted, loving, and selfless mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister. Her life was dedicated to her family and she cherished every moment she spent with them. She adored her children Karen, Kathy, and Kim and always called them her three angels. She treasured her grandchildren Melissa, Rich, and Kathleen and loved them with her whole heart. Her great grandson Dylan was her special angel. Rose Marie was an angel that walked on earth and she touched the hearts of many people. She will be forever missed and loved by her family.
Surviving are a daughter Kathy Calafut and husband, Edward, of Vestal NY; a daughter Kim Ann Curtis and husband, Richard, of Forest City, PA; a son-in-law Richard Sottile, Olyphant, PA; a granddaughter Melissa Rose Marie Erdmann and husband Jake of Forest City, PA; a grandson, Richard Sottile, Olyphant, PA, a granddaughter, Kathleen Sottile, Olyphant PA; a great grandchild, Dylan Erdmann, Forest City, PA; a sister, Alice Rudolph, Egg Harbor, NJ; a brother, Donald Trelc, St. Louis, Missouri; and sister-in-law, Joanie Marcel, Vandling, PA.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Karen Marie Sottile; brothers, Robert, Anthony, and William Trelc; and her father-in-law, Anthony Slick.
There will be a memorial mass at St. Joseph's church, Forest City, PA on Saturday, July 14, at 11 am.
