Rosarii C. Emmett

Rosarii C. Emmett, 79, of Forest City, died Thursday at Marian Community Hospital, Carbondale. She was the widow of the late Robert F. "Skippy" Emmett who passed away in 1999.

Born June 9, 1931 in Archbald, she was the daughter of the late John J. and Rosarii McGurrin Murray. She was a graduate of Archbald High School, and prior to retirement, she worked as a seamstress in the local dress factories of Archbald and Forest City. She was a member of St. Agnes Church and it's Altar and Rosary Society, Forest City. She enjoyed cooking, baking and crocheting, and loved to make afghans. She was affectionately known as Mommy, Rosha, Grammy Rose, and Aunt Rosie to more than just her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by three daughters Peggy, Mary, and Rose, all of Forest City; 2 brother-in-laws: Fred Garm and Fred Sherwood, 4 sister-in-laws: Bernice Murray, Joyce Murray, Georgia Murray, and Margaret Emmett, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by 2 children: Robert and Rosarii, 6 brothers: John, Joseph, Michael, Edward, Gerard, and Robert "Rusty", 3 sisters: Winifred, Mary, and Julia, a brother-in-law John Emmett, and a Sister-in-law Ernestine Emmett Garm.

Funeral will be Monday at 9:30 am from the Kevin M. Lesjack Funeral Home, 513 Main Street, Forest City, with Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am from St. Joseph's Church, Forest City. Interment in St. Agnes Cemetery, Forest City.

Viewing on Sunday from 2-6 pm.
