Ronald Zawisky, 67, Browndale, died Saturday at home. He was married to Susan Tusar Zawisky for 42 years on April 27.
Born August 16, 1942, in Carbondale, he was the son of the late Russell and Ann Shamro Zawisky. Ron attended Forest City Schools and prior to retirement, he was employed as a laborer at the Endicott Johnson Shoe Plant, Forest City. He was a veteran of the Pennsylvania National Guard. He was an avid hunter and he loved baseball. Despite a long battle with Parkinson's disease, Ron never complained and was an extremely hard worker up until his passing. A loving husband, father and grandfather, spending time with his family was a priority. Ron will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Also surviving are a daughter Laurie Campbell, Liverpool, NY; a son Stephen, Hershey; a sister Carol McCartney, Browndale; a brother Robert, Uniondale; two grandchildren Bryson and Kailyn; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial mass will be Friday at 10:30 am in St. Joseph's Church, 739 Delaware Street, Forest City.
The family will accept friends at the church 10 am until mass time.

Cremation is through the Kevin M. Lesjack Funeral Home, Forest City.
