Robert John Lewis, 83, of Pleasant Mount, passed away on Friday, November 21st, at Ellen Memorial Nursing Center. He is survived by his wife, the former Nancy Jane Ignatovich.
Born on April 27, 1942, in Jersey City, Robert was the son of the late Arthur and Dorothy (Green) Lewis. He was a graduate of Lackawanna Trail High School. Robert worked for Philbin Construction from 1963 to 1973 and later built a long career as a self-employed contractor from 1973 until his retirement in 2006. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons Robert Lewis, Mark Lewis, and Scott Lewis; his sisters Donna Lewis, Julie Lewis, and Cathy Frederici; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his sister Sally Eastwood and his brothers Russel Lewis, Arthur Lewis, Harry Lewis, and David Lewis.
Cremation was entrusted to the Kevin M. Lesjack Funeral Home, 513 Main Street, Forest City. Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
