Robert S. Houman

Robert S. Houman, Jr., 82, of Forest City, died Wednesday December 18th at Allied Hospice, Scranton.

Born August 24, 1942, in Carbondale, he is the son of the late Robert and Isabelle Kardeen Houman. Bob was an avid outdoors man. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved gardening and landscaping. He was a former resident and groundskeeper at William Penn Apartments, Forest City.

He is survived by a son Kenneth Houman and wife Tara, CT; a daughter Kathy Houman and husband Steve, Carbondale; stepdaughters Kim and Cindy; nine grandchildren, Seth, Travis, Kelsey, Carson, Julia, Robert, Kayci, Jordan, and Nolan; and a companion Muriel McEathron.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Jean Peterka Houman and his first wife Marjorie Harris Houman.

The family would like to extend a thank you to the staff at Allied Hospice for the compassionate care given to Robert.

Viewing will be Saturday December 28th, from 9 to 11 in the Kevin M. Lesjack Funeral Home, 513 Main Street, Forest City. Services will follow. Interment in St. Anthony's Cemetery, Forest City.
