Rita Fisher

Rita Fisher, 88, of Forest City, died Monday afternoon at home. Her husband Andrew Fisher died in 2000.

Born May 6, 1924, in Forest City, daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Kurtz McCabe. She was a graduate of Forest City High School and worked at area dress factories. She was member of Ascension Parish of Forest City and quilted with the ladies in the church. Most of all, she loved her grandchildren.

Surviving are a son Gene Fisher and wife Michele, Port Orange, FL; a daughter Andrea Kresge and husband Norm, Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren Brian Fisher, Forest City; and Tracy Apostolico and husband Tony, Forest City; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Pat McCabe; and two sisters, Agnes Bifano and Dorothy Whitecavage.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday at 10 am in St. Joseph's Church, Forest City. Interment in St. Anthony's Cemetery.
