Richard "Dick" Alford Foster

Richard “Dick” Alford Foster, 69, of Union Dale passed away on Saturday, September 18, 2021 after an extended battle with cancer.

Born November 2, 1951, Richard was the son of the late Arnold and Elizabeth Foster. Dick was a graduate of Mountain View High School and worked in construction. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and the Old West Era. Richard was an avid Louis L'Amour reader, skilled card player, Sunday dinner cook and loyal friend.

He is survived by siblings, Charles Foster; Lynna Obelenus; David Foster; Duane Foster(Mary Ann); Irena “Gaile” Durko; John Foster(Donna); Laura Butts(James); numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.

He was also preceded in death by siblings, infant brother, Brian Foster, Neil Foster, Douglas Foster, Karen (Foster) Giddings and Rachel (Foster) Branning.

The family would like to thank the staff of the Forest City Nursing and Rehab Center, especially Teri and Kathy, for their compassion and care.

A memorial service and celebration of life lunch will be held for family and friends at Chet's Place by invitation.

Cremation services were entrusted to Kevin M. Lesjack Funeral Home, 513 Main Street, Forest City.
