Patricia Pevec, 75, of Browndale, died Tuesday afternoon at the Forest City Nursing Center after a brief illness. Her husband is John Pevec, Browndale.
Born September 1, 1948, in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of the late Floyd J. and Catherine Bednar Anderson. Patricia was the oldest of 11 siblings. Patricia found the love of her life, John, in 1971 and have been inseparable and in love in their 52 years of marriage. She was a loving and caring person who was always there for her family and friends in times of need. She had a passion for cooking and baking, always ensuring there was plenty of food to share with loved ones.
In her career, Patricia worked as a Fitness Instructor at Elaine Powers Fitness Salon, a Product Inspector at Gentex Corporation, and cleaned for various companies in the Forest City area. She also dedicated her time to being a homemaker and teaching her daughter, Brandy, whom she home schooled from 1990 to 2001. Outside of work, she enjoyed cooking and baking as her favorite hobbies.
Patricia is survived by her husband, John, daughter Brandy (David) Whiting, sisters Beverly (Bob) Smith, Kathleen Bell, Deborah Kotkulski, Tina (Glenn) Siglin, Linda (Steven) Corcoran, Mary (Jerry) Goyne, and brothers Floyd (Lisa), Mark, and Paul (Lisa) Anderson along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Alan and a brother in law Joseph Kotkulski.
As per Patricia's wishes, there will be no viewing or funeral services. Cremation arrangements are entrusted to the Kevin M. Lesjack Funeral Home, 513 Main Street, Forest City.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Patricia's name to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
