Molly Vauter

Molly Vauter, 88, of Forest City died Sunday evening at the Forest City Nursing Center. Her husband, Peter Vauter, died in 2003.

Born July 5, 1922 in Forest City, she was the daughter of the late Anton and Agnes Gantar Erzen. She was a graduate of Forest City High School and prior to retirement she worked for several area dress factories. She was a member of St. Agnes Church and it's choir. She enjoyed quilting, gardening and baking. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Surviving are two sons, Richard and wife Bonnie, Waymart and Peter and wife Denise, East Stroudsburg; six grandchildren, Rebecca, Amy, Isaac, Lauren, Benjamin, and Caitlyn; two great grandchildren, Makayla and Luke; two brothers, Charles, East Brunswick, NJ and James, Carbondale; a sister Dorothy, Bethesda, MD, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son Mark, and sisters Mary, Cecelia, Marcella and Eva.

Funeral will be Thursday at 10:30 am from the Kevin M. Lesjack Funeral Home, 513 Main Street, Forest City, with Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am in St. Joseph's Church, Forest City. Interment in St. Agnes Cemetery, Forest City.
