Michael Raymond Skurski, Jr.

Michael (Mikey) Raymond Skurski, Jr., 25, of East Ararat passed away unexpectedly, December 31, 2023.

Mikey was born April 9, 1998, he is the son of Michael and Cathy Buchanan Skurski, Sr., East Ararat. Mikey was a quiet, gentle, soft spoken, beautiful soul, but if you would bring up cows, farm life and his love for guns and blowing things up, he could talk your ear off. He could be found often shooting his guns with his brother and two friends, Corey and Joey. His little cousin, Aubrie nicknamed him “Milkyway” and that is all his little sister, Mackenzie called him.

He loved the outdoors in the summer time. He loved spending time with his family and family camping trips. He was always playing with the fire. He will be forever missed. I don't think he realized how many people he touched with his gentle soul.

He is also survived by his brother and best friend Christopher Skurski(Mckenzie Johannes) and a sister and best friend Mackenzie Skurski; Grandparents Arnold and Carol Cottrell and Floyd and Linda Buchanan; a new born niece Clare Skurski; and many aunts uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by grandparents Joseph Skurski and Martha Overeem.

Please, if you think the world is a better place with out you, I can assure you it is not. Reach out to your loved ones, talk and ask for help. Tomorrow is another day and could be a brighter day.

A memorial visitation will be held on Friday January 5th in the East Ararat Community Church from1 to 2pm. Service at 2pm and dinner to follow.

Cremation arrangements are entrusted to the Kevin M. Lesjack Funeral Home, 513 Main Street, Forest City.
