Maryanne (Demchak) Ruby

Maryanne Demchak Ruby, 49, of Scranton, died Wednesday evening at Regional Hospital of Scranton. Her husband is Jeff Ruby.

Born December 6, 1962, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth Janezic Demchak. She was a graduate of Forest City High School and worked at Specialty Records/WEA/Cinram prior to her illness for 21 years. Maryanne was a member of the Scranton Pool League. She liked to bake and cook. She was a lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan and she enjoyed traveling and collected friends from everywhere she vacationed. Maryanne was an excellent judge of character and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Also surviving are two brothers Joseph and wife Elizabeth Demchak, Carbondale and Brian and wife Lisa Demchak, Pleasant Mount; 4 nieces, Dominique, Megan, Chivon and Brianna; and a nephew Brian, an Uncle James Janezic and an Aunt Ann Martin, & several cousins.

She was preceded in death by a brother Wayne.

Funeral will be Monday at 9:30 am from the Kevin M. Lesjack Funeral Home, 513 Main Street, Forest City, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Joseph's Church, Forest City. Interment St. Joseph's Cemetery, Forest City.
