Mary Theresa Rebernik, 89, of Forest City, died Monday night at the Forest City Nursing Center. She was the wife of the late Kenneth Loomis who died in 1966, and the late John Rebernik who died in 1987.
Born August 24, 1925, in Vandling, daughter of the late John and Mary Kelly Woodyshek. She was a graduate of Vandling High School and a member of Ascension Parish, Forest City. Prior to retirement Mary worked at area garment factories. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, and enjoyed watching baseball and quilting. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Surviving are a daughter Margretta Peterlin and husband William, Vandling; a son Joe Loomis and companion Robin, Lawrenceville, NJ; 3 sisters, Ellen Lafferty, Vandling; Catherine Malsh, Vandling; and Margaret Smith, VT; 8 grandchildren, Kimberly, William, Kenneth, Amy, Joseph, Margaret, Dianna, and Beverly "Red"; 24 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Also preceded in death by an infant son Edward; a brother Joseph and a sister Ann Sherry.
Funeral will be Friday at 10:00 am from the Kevin M. Lesjack Funeral Home, 513 Main Street, Forest City, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am in St. Joseph's Church, Forest City. Interment St. Agnes Cemetery, Forest City. Viewing on Thursday from 4-7 pm.
