Mary F. Kelly, 75, of Fell Township, died Sunday evening at home after a lengthy illness. Her husband of 51 years is Patrick J. Kelly.
Born October 4, 1947, in Carbondale, she is the daughter of the late Henry and Mary Stasko Nebzydoski. Mary was a graduate of Forest City High School and St. Joseph's School of Nursing. She was a member of Ascension Parish and prior to retirement was employed at Kaiser Permante, Baltimore, MD. After retirement, she worked for the Forest City Nursing Center and Dr. Tomazic in Forest City. Mary enjoyed sewing and crafting and was a talented quilter. Mary continued her sewing and crafting passion after retirement making clothes for her 9 grand kids and nieces. Mary helped her sister Kate with her church bazaars. She also knitted and crocheted whenever she could. She had her sewing and crafting center set up in her basement where the kids called it Craft Caverns. She helped with church functions including making perogies in St. James Church.
Also surviving are children Chris Kelly and wife Gaelle, Strasburg; Michelle Lesjack and husband Todd, Browndale; Brian Kelly, Monroe, GA; Kim Auerbach and husband Greg, Montville, NJ; and Patrick Kelly and wife Bobbi, Ambler; nine grandchildren Luke, Jack, John, Kelly, Mike, Ethan, Anna, Mary Jane, and Alice; six brothers, John Nebzydoski and wife Jan, Fayetteville; Hank Nebzydoski and wife Jean, Pleasant Mount; Andrew Nebzydoski and wife Trish, Honesdale; Tom Nebzydoski and wife Sharon, Pleasant Mount; Joseph Nebzydoski and wife Kerry, Jeffersonville, NY; and Mike Nebzydoski and wife Peg, Pleasant Mount; three sisters Kate Painter and husband Bud, Hampstead, MD; Peg Tomazic and husband Dr. Dave, Clifford Twp; and Bernie Franceski, Bethlehem; several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday at 11:00am in St. James Church, Pleasant Mount. Visitation will be Friday from 10 to 11 in the church. Interment in St. Cecilia's Cemetery, Pleasant Mount.
