Mary Alice Glucksnis, 66, of Jessup, died Wednesday morning in Scranton after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer. Her husband of 39 years is Donald Glucksnis.
Born August 16, 1947, daughter to the late Abe "Casey" and Lilas Muchitz Nudelman. She was a graduate of Forest City Regional High School and earned an associated degree from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. She was a member of Holy Cross Parish, Olyphant and a devoted client of St. Ann's Novena. Mary Alice enjoyed traveling, entertaining family and friends, and she liked to shop. She loved her family and especially her grandchildren.
The family would like to offer a sincere thank you to Dr. Martin Martino, Dr. Linda Thomas and Dr. Lisa Thomas and everyone that took extra care for Mary Alice during her illness.
Also surviving are daughters, Alison and husband Steve Lott, Olyphant; Melissa and husband Doug Man, Hoboken, NJ; and Lindsey Glucksnis, Jessup; a brother Dr. James and wife Caroline Nudelman, TX; 2 grandchildren: Gabriel and Abigail; several cousins including "Favorite Coz's" Kim and Meg Nudelman..
Funeral will be Monday at 9:30am in Holy Cross Parish, St. Patrick's Church, 200 Delaware Street, Olyphant to be celebrated by Monsignor Michael J. Delaney. Interment in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Forest City. Those attending the mass are asked to go directly to church.
