Mark will always be remembered as a happy, kind, and fun-loving soul. Before my coming of age there are many fond memories with Mark and the rest of the Staskavage clan. Mark gave me my first baseball glove – an old used one mind you - but still much appreciated. Years later, I used it to play catch with my boys. Time and life rolls on for all of us. Those early years of hanging out, having fun, and getting in trouble with the Staskavage clan are treasured memories that all came rushing back when I heard of his passing. To all those saddened by Mark’s transition – my condolences - but do take a moment to reflect on the fun times.

My thoughts heartfelt sympathies go out to Tom & Mark Swingle, whom I was blessed to have met on my visit with Mark a few moons ago.  Mark was my favorite cousin in the Staskavage clan, and though he was 6 years my senior, he treated me like I was his brother.  I won't forget the joy of going to a Mets game at Shea Stadium with Mark and Alan, and feeling like a VIP in the conversation with them.  Peace be with you guys.  Cheers, Tom Swartz 62 Belleville IL
