Marie C. Evans

Marie C. Evans, 57, of Forest City, died Friday morning at VNA Hospice, Scranton. Her husband is the late Donald B. Evans, Sr.

Born in July 2, 1956, daughter of the late George and Irene Newberry Owen. Prior to retirement she worked as a CNA for Holiday Manor, Scranton. She was an avid BINGO player and she loved her grandchildren. The family would like to offer special thanks to the VNA Hospice for their compassionate care.

Surviving are 4 sons: Jeremy Kilmer and Don Evans, Forest City; Chris Evans, Dallas; Scott Evans, Uniondale; a daughter Candice Brown, NJ; 4 brothers, Glen, Thomas "Bear", Wayne, and Kenny Owen; a sister Cheryl Freeman; and several nieces and nephews.

Cremation is through the Kevin M. Lesjack Funeral Home, Forest City. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
