Margaret Brager Obituary

Margaret “Peggy” Brager, 81, transitioned from her long-time home in Forest City to her eternal home in the Kingdom of God on Gaudete Sunday.

She leaves behind a husband Frank Brager, long time mayor of Forest City and educator; a son Frank Brager, Newton Lake; sisters Patricia Konzman, Forest City and Alice Morton, AZ; grandchildren, Katherine and Adam Brager, Dickson City; nephews Wes and Chris Sklanka; and many cousins.

Born in Carbondale on October 29, 1941, Peggy was the daughter of the late William and Alice Ross Feddock. She attended Forest City High School and prior to retirement worked as a seamstress for Ames Shower Curtain Factory. Later she owned and operated a custom drapery business in Forest City. Peggy was a charter member of the Forest City Area Volunteer Ambulance Association, a charter member of the Forest City Historical Society and a long time Cub Scout leader. She was honored by Forest City as a Distinguished Citizen. She was an avid collector and enjoyed visiting local yard sales and flea markets.

Peggy was a devoted member of Ascension Parish and the family asks that you pray the rosary for her and all the members of the faithful departed.

They would also like to offer a special thank you to the dedicated members of the Forest City Ambulance.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday at 10am in St. Joseph's Church, Forest City. Interment in St. Agnes Cemetery. Viewing will be Sunday from 6 to 8pm at the Kevin M. Lesjack Funeral Home, 513 Main Street, Forest City.
