Lynnette McAlla

Lynnette McAlla, 81, of Clifford Township, died Thursday morning at the Forest City Nursing Center. Her husband is the late Joseph McAlla.

Born May 2, 1933, in Harford, daughter of the late Ivan T. and Florence Whitney Brainard. She was a 1951 graduate of Harford High School. She was tax collector for Clifford Township from 1974 until she retired in 1998.

Surviving are a son Joseph L. McAlla and wife Jean, Clifford; 2 sisters Dona Warner, Clifford Township, and Sue Borowicz, Lanesboro; a brother Ronald Brainard, North Jackson; a granddaughter Donna Fortuner and husband to be Philip, Uniondale; 2 grandsons BradleyMcAlla and wife Antoinette, Clifford and Brian McAlla and wife Janel, Clifford; 9 great grandchildren, Michael, Kyra, Skylar and Rhys Fortuner Jada, Philip and Alivia Keslo, Trinity McAlla and Blair McAlla; nieces and nephews.

Also preceded in death by 2 brothers, Lynn Brainard, a twin and Ivan W. Brainard; and a sister Arneta Sanauskas;

Cremation is through the Kevin M. Lesjack Funeral Home, Forest City, PA with a private memorial service at a later date in Clifford Valley Cemetery.
