Lucie Hamby

Lucie Hamby, 69, of Clarks Summit, and formerly of Riverside, CA, died Friday afternoon at Mercy Hospice, Scranton. She was the widow of the late Donald Hamby who died in 2005.

Born March 8, 1939, in Washington, D.C., she is the daughter of R. Janette Gibbon Dudley, Clarks Summit, and the late Raymond Dudley. She was a graduate of Northwestern High School in Hyattsville, MD and worked as a bookkeeper for the Woolworth Corp. until its closing, and then at various businesses in and around Riverside. She was a former member of the Rubidoux Methodist Church, Riverside and most recently a member of the Forest City Methodist Church. She and her husband were avid travelers who enjoyed visiting their many friends and family throughout the country.

She is also survived by numerous cousins and her canine "baby", Misty.

Funeral service and interment will take place at the Fort Lincoln Cemetery in Brentwood, MD.
