Lilas C. Nudelman

Lilas C. Nudelman, 100, Forest City, died Tuesday morning at the Forest City Nursing Center. Her husband Abe "Casey" Nudelman died in 1999.

Born June 17, 1912, daughter of the late Martin and Teresa Tell Muchitz. She was a lifetime member of St. Joseph's Church, Forest City. Prior to retirement she was the proprietor of Nudelman's Store, Forest City which sold womens fashions. She graduated from West Chester State College and taught briefly in Browndale School. Lilas was a member of the Forest City BPW, Elkview Country Club, the Slovenian Heritage Club, and the F.C. Ladies Bowling League. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Surviving are a daughter Mary Alice and husband Donald Glucksnis, Jessup; and a son Dr. James and wife Caroline Nudelman, TX; a sister Alice Kane, Wilkes-Barre; 3 grandchildren: Alison and husband Steve Lott, Melissa and Lindsey Glucksnis; 2 great grandchildren: Gabriel and Abigail.

She was preceded in death by brothers Joseph, A.J., Walter, and Harold, and sisters Daisey and Matilda.

Funeral will be Friday from the Kevin M. Lesjack Funeral Home, 513 Main Street, Forest City, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Joseph's Church, Delaware Street, Forest City. Friends are asked to go directly to the church. Interment St. Joseph's Cemetery, Forest City.
