Kathleen Gotts, 57, of Duncannon and formerly of Forest City, died Thursday at Harrisburg Hospital.
Born April 1, 1957, she is the daughter of Felix and Mary O'Koren Prezelski, Forest City. She was a member of Ascension Parish, a graduated from Kutztown University and earned her Masters Degree from Bloomsburg University. Kathy worked for over 34 years for the state of Pennsylvania supporting people with disabilities. First worked at Selingsgrove Center, then with the Blind and Visual Services, then as the Project Officer for the Developmental Disability Council in Harrisburg where she monitored state wide grants for projects for people with disabilities.
She was very musically inclined, playing the piano and clarinet. She sang, sewed, and cooked, and was the author of the book, "The Elusive Path". She was a lover of animals and found homes for them and supported the SPCA, the Humane Societies, and St. Jude's Research Hospital. She was looking forward to volunteering in her recent retirement. Kathy was a loving daughter, sister, and aunt. She will be sadly missed by all of her family and friends.
Also surviving are 2 sisters, Patricia Prezelski, Honesdale and Karen Schaefer and husband Andrew, Binghamton; a nephew Andrew and a niece Stephanie; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
The funeral will be Wednesday at 10 am from the Kevin M. Lesjack Funeral Home, 513 Main St., Forest City, with Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am in St. Joseph's Church, Forest City. Interment will be private in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
Friends may call Tuesday from 3-6 pm.
