Josephine Korshnak

Josephine Korshnak, 92, of Forest City, died Wednesday morning at the Forest City Nursing Home, after a short stay. She was the widow of the late John Korshnak, who died June 19, 1995.

Born May 25, 1918, in Forest City, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary Marinchick Grum. She was a member of St. Joseph's Church, the KSKJ, and the American Slovenian Heritage Club, all of Forest City. She was a graduate of Forest City High School.

Surviving are two daughters, Geraldine Swierczek, her caregiver, and husband John, Forest City, and Marianne Price, Beach Lake; a sister Maryann Ksenich, Erie; four grandchildren Theresa Price, Scott Price and wife Kelly, Marie Peterka and husband Richard, Steve Swierczek and wife Andrea, and five great granddaughters, Kaitlin and Abigail Price, Hailey Peterka, and twins Josie and Jenna Swierczek.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Anthony, John, Edward, Louis, and infant Francis.

Funeral will be Friday from the Kevin M. Lesjack Funeral Home, Forest City, with Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am from St Joseph's Church, Forest City. Friends are asked to go directly to the church.

Interment in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Forest City.
