Josephine E. Hollis, 74, passed away unexpectedly Friday October 15th.
Born June 11, 1947, in Carbondale, she was the daughter of the late John and Marjorie Karwowski. Josephine was one of ten siblings. Josephine married her high school sweetheart and the love of her life, the late Albert Wendal Hollis, on June 11, 1963. They were married 57 wonderful years having had five children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Josephine “Jo” as known by her family and friends was a dedicated homemaker and a successful carpet sales woman. She was a wonderful cook and baker and avid gardener. She also enjoyed crocheting, quilt making and restoring furniture. Her faith was also very important to her.
Of all of Jo's accomplishments, she was most proud of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved each one without fail. Jo will be greatly missed by her family.
Surviving are her children, a son Edward and husband James, a daughter Debra and husband Kenneth, a son Daniel and wife Krista, and a son Kenneth and wife Eudoxie; seven siblings; eight grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.
Josephine was preceded in death by a beloved son Albert, Jr., and two siblings.
Viewing will be Thursday, October 21st from 4 – 6pm., at the Kevin M. Lesjack Funeral Home, 513 Main Street, Forest City. A blessing service will be Friday, October 22nd at 11:00am by pastor Bonnie Resseguie. Interment Union Dale Cemetery.
