Joseph W. Zologa

Joseph W. Zologa, of Pleasant Mount, died Wednesday morning at the Marian Community Hospital, Carbondale. He was the husband of the late Anne M. Lacek Zologa who died June 18, 1997.

Born April 25, 1928, in Pleasant Mount, He was the son of the late Mathais and Veronica Zologa. He was an Army paratrooper, a member of the American Legion, Lakewood and member of St. James Church, Pleasant Mount. Prior to retirement he worked for PennDot and later he worked as a dairy farmer. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He is survived by three daughters Joanne Wychowanec and husband Ron, Pleasant Mount, Kathryn Zologa, Pleasant Mount, and Sue Kulasinsky and husband Rick, Vandling; four sisters Mary Brutto, FL, Helen Bannon, Lake Como, Teresa Manko, CT, and Adeline Heesch, Lake Como; two grandsons Ricky and Joseph and wife Jamie; and two great grandchildren Katrina and Adrienne; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother Anthony and a grandson Christopher.

Funeral will be Saturday at 9:30am from the Kevin M. Lesjack Funeral Home, 513 Main Street, Forest City, with Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am in St. James Church, Pleasant Mount. Interment in St. James Cemetery, Pleasant Mount. Viewing on Friday from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8.
