Joseph Mozeleski, 84, of Pleasant Mount, died at Allied Hospice on October 24, 2021. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Bernice.
Born in Carbondale on December 22, 1937, he is the son of the late Joseph and Anna Turinski Mozeleski.
Joe was raised in Simpson, then moved to New Jersey and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School, Elizabeth, NJ. An Army veteran, he was stationed in Korea, and was employed at Phelps-Dodge and manager of Bayway Polish Homes, Elizabeth. NJ. Once Joe was married, he moved back to Pennsylvania and was employed as a Stationary Fireman at Farview State Hospital. In retirement, Joe loved fishing, rowing his boat, and just sitting on the dock at the pond.
Also surviving is an aunt Pauline; cousins Edmund and Sharon; a niece Deborah; nephews John Gary, David and Michael; a sister-in-law Dolores and many other cousins.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Joseph's name to your favorite charity.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, November 15, at 10am in St. James Church, 361 Great Bend Turnpike, Pleasant Mount. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are through the Kevin M. Lesjack Funeral Home, 513 Main Street, Forest City.
