John G. Jr. Yadlosky

John G. Yadlosky, Jr., 82, of Uniondale, died Tuesday morning at Marian Community Hospital, Carbondale.

Born September 5, 1929, in Vandling, he was the son of the late John and Mary Kubus Yadlosky. John graduated from Vandling School and was a member of Sacred Heart Church. John served in the Army and was a veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of the Forest City American Legion, and a lifetime member of the Pennsylvania Army National Guard, 109th Infantry. Prior to retirement John worked for the Lackawanna County Sewer Authority. He belonged to the Browndale Sportsman Club and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was also a talented woodworker. He was loved and will be missed dearly.

He is survived by 3 daughters Karen and husband Ron Surace, Broomall; Diane and husband John Terpak, Vandling; and Ann Seana Browndale; a step son Robert and wife Tamra Wasylina, Louisville, KY; a brother Thomas and wife Beverly Yadlosky, Vandling; Grandchildren Ryan and wife Colleen Surace, Amanda Surace, Holly and Jonathan Terpak, Michael and Stacey Seana, and Dakota Wasylina; great grandchildren, Alaina and Keira Surace, Richard Matthews, and Lee Michael Haight; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a sister Constance Hollis.

Funeral will be Friday at 9:30 am from the Kevin M. Lesjack Funeral Home, 513 Main Street, Forest City, with Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Sacred Heart Church, Forest City. Interment in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Forest City. Viewing Thursday from 5 - 8 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in John's name to the Forest City American Legion, 100 Dundaff Street, Forest City, PA 18421.
