John Terpak, 72, of Vandling, died Thursday home. His wife is the former Diane Yadlowsky. They would have celebrated their 48th anniversary on Wednesday.
Born February 12, 1952 in Carbondale, he is the son of the late Joseph and Evelyn Renczkowski Terpak. He was a member of St. John's Russian Orthodox Church, Mayfield. Prior to retirement he worked in food services at SCI Waymart. He graduated from Lakeland High School and was a member of the Mayfield Hose Company. He enjoyed antiquing and flea markets, and was an avid outdoorsman.
Also surviving are children Holly Terpak (Rich Matthews), Vandling and and Jonathan Terpak, Vandling, brothers, Paul (Marianne)Terpak, Scott Twp., Gregory (Mary) Terpak, Herrick Twp, and Nicholas Terpak, Jermyn; grandchildren Richie and Isabella Matthews, nieces and nephews.
Also preceded in death by a brother Joseph Terpak, Jr. and a nephew Michael Terpak.
Requiem services will be Wednesday at 9:30 AM in St. John’s Russian Orthodox Cathedral, Mayfield, Burial will be in St. John’s Russian Orthodox Cemetery, Mayfield. Friends may call Tuesday from 4 to 7 PM at the Kevin M. Lesjack Funeral Home, 513 Main Street, Forest City. Parastas will be at 6:30 and transfer to the church at 7.
