John F. Peterka, 84, of Clifford Twp, died unexpectedly, on Sunday morning. His wife of almost 47 years is Elizabeth Bullet Peterka.
Born April 19, 1940, in New York City, he is the son of the late John and Anna Satunas Peterka. John was mechanic and a jack of all trades. He could fix just about anything and he would tell you that. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, riding his quad, and a good party. Most of all, John loved spending time with his family.
Also surviving are eight children, Suzanne (Scott) Stoll; Catherine Huth; John P. Peterka; Robert (Lois) Peterka; Jason (Jennifer) Peterka; Jennifer (Scott) Jenson; Anne (Jack) Weaver; and John Michael Dombrowski; two brothers Donald Peterka and Bernard Peterka; 15 grandchildren, Morris, Stephen, Tadd, Craig, Kimberly, Brittany, Kristina, John-Thomas, Stephanie, Jamie, Jenny, Michael, Earl, Emma-Rose, and Joseph; 18 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Also preceded in death by a sister Jean Houman.
Viewing will be held Thursday, from 3 – 5 pm in the Kevin Lesjack Funeral Home, 513 Main Street, Forest City. Interment will be private.
