John Robert Bruce, formerly of Waymart, died Tuesday at Geisinger Community Medical Center. He was 82.
Born September 26, 1943 in Jermyn, he was the son of the late James and Helen Bruce. Prior to retirement he worked as a security guard.
John is survived by a son, two brothers Bob and Dick, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife Janice, a twin brother James and a sister Theresa.
No services will be held. Cremation arrangements are entrusted to the Kevin M. Lesjack Funeral Home, 513 Main Street, Forest City.
