Jean M. Yaklic

Jean M. Yaklic, 85, of Browndale, died Tuesday morning at Marian Community Hospital, Carbondale. Her husband Henry J. Yaklic, died in 1991.

Born July 29, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Steven and Anna Smith Gursky. She graduated from Forest City High School and was a bookkeeper prior to retirement. She was a member of St. Joseph's Church and she was an avid baker. Jean enjoyed spending time with her family and especially with her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by 4 sons: Glenn and wife Marguerite, Scranton; Carl, Robert, and Kenneth, all of Browndale; a daughter Kathleen and husband Kevin White, Browndale, a sister Ruth Ostanek, Binghamton, a brother Paul Gursky, Vestal, 10 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son Ronald, a brother Robert, and a granddaughter Paula.

Funeral will be Friday at 9:30 am from the Kevin M. Lesjack Funeral Home, 513 Main Street, Forest City, with Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am in St. Joseph's Church, Forest City. Cremation to follow.

Viewing Thursday from 4-7 pm.
