James "Boomer" Roon, Jr.

Boomer Roon, 33, of Forest City died Saturday at home after a fight with addiction.

Born July 19, 1983 in Passaic, NJ, Boomer was raised in Pennsylvania and a graduate of Forest City Regional High School. He was a cook at Gin's Tavern, Factoryville and an avid New York Giants fan. He loved his family and playing sports.

He is survived by his father James Roon, Sr and step mother Michelle Davis, Forest City; a sister Tiffany Roon and fiancee Corey Plevyak, Simpson, a brother Patrick Davis, Binghamton, NY; aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by a grandmother Florence Delillio

Viewing will be Wednesday from 3 to 6 pm at the Kevin M. Lesjack Funeral Home, 513 Main Street Forest City.

In lieu of flowers an account to help cover funeral costs has been set up at Honesdale National Bank.
