Harold Grunski, 92, of Waymart, died Tuesday morning at the Forest City Nursing Home. He was the husband of the late Olive Robinson Grunski who died in 1994.
Born August 25, 1918, in Waymart, son of the late Walter and Camilla Boraski Grunski. He was a graduate of Aldenville School and a member of Sacred Heart Church, Forest City. He was a dairy farmer, and he delivered eggs and produce. Harold was a member of the Beekeepers Association, Honesdale, the Dairymens League, and a member of the Polish Alliance. He was great at making honey and sweet cider and he loved is dog Buddy. After his beloved wife Olive passed away, not many days passed by without him saying "It's a heck of a life without a wife." He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He would say "that all his do's are done."
He is survived by a nephew Bill Grunski, Waymart and two nieces Marianne Pribula, Clifford Twp., and Joan Rine, Napanoch, NY, and dear friends Gene and Celestine Cicco, Forest City.
He was preceded in death by two brothers Alex and Stanley, and two sisters Harriet and Mary.
Funeral will be Saturday from the Kevin M. Lesjack Funeral Home, 513 Main Street, Forest City, with Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Sacred Heart Church, Forest City. Interment in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Forest City. Viewing Friday from 4-7 pm.
Friends are asked to go directly to church on Saturday morning for the mass.
