Gilbert Hazen, 52, of Forest City, died Monday morning at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. His wife of 30 years is Sherry Bartoli Hazen.

Born June 23, 1957, he was the son of Helen Lowry, Dickson City and the late Gilbert Hazen. He was a member of the last graduating class from Fell High School, Simpson. Prior to retirement he worked for Cross Manufacturing and then for Keystone Propane. He enjoyed fishing and was a gifted handyman who could fix anything. He was a loving husband and father and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Also surviving are 5 children Kelly and husband Albert Rodriguez, Uniondale, Cynthia Hazen and fiance Andy Nick, III, Browndale, Jeff Hazen and wife Angel, Thompson, and Brianna and Deanna at home; 6 grandchildren Eddie, Nicholas, Kristen, Andrew, Jacob, and Carina; two sisters Florence Williams and husband Ronald, NJ, and Sandra Brager, Dickson City; an aunt Jeannette Neary, Carbondale, and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will take place Saturday morning at 11:00 am in the Kevin M. Lesjack Funeral Home, 513 Main Street, Forest City.
