Genevieve I. Sklanka

Genevieve I. Sklanka, 95, of Forest City, died Saturday evening at the Forest City Nursing Center. She was the widow of the late Walter Sklanka who died in 1988.

Born February 6, 1915, in Forest City, She was the daughter of the late Andrew and Rosa Piatkowski. She was a homemaker and a member of Sacred Heart Church, Forest City. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

The family would like to thank Dr. Tomazic and the staff at the Forest City Nursing Center for their kindness and compassionate care.

Surviving is a son Bernard and wife Mary Ann, Clifford Twp., and grandsons Wesley and wife Jennie Lynn, Uniondale and Chris, Forest City.

She was preceded in death by sisters Anna Mae and Frances.

Funeral will be Wednesday at 9:45 am from the Kevin M. Lesjack Funeral Home, 513 Main Street, Forest City, with Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am from Sacred Heart Church, Forest City. Interment in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Forest City. Viewing Wednesday 9 - 9:45am.
