Frank J. Poterjoy

Frank J. Poterjoy, 75, of Vandling died May 22, 2024 at home after a long battle with MDS. His wife of 51 years is Nancy Borgmeyer Poterjoy.

Born December 4, 1948 in Carbondale, Frank is the son of the late Frank and Mary O'Block Poterjoy. He was a former FBI clerk, worked for RCA, and held custodial jobs the Forest City Nursing Home and Ascension Parish prior to retirement. He was a charter member of the Forest City Ambulance Association and a member of Ascension Parish.

He is survived by two sons, Brandon (Kathy) Poterjoy, Philadelphia; and Chris (Katy) Poterjoy, Downingtown; Grandchildren, Braeden, MaryFrances, Thomas, Kaitlyn, Robby, and Maggie; two sisters Marianne (Frank) Cocchiaro, TX; and Carolyn (John) Lodato, CT; a sister-in-law Felicia Poterjoy, Browndale; nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by a brother Carl Poterjoy, and sisters Marge Burrell and Frances Donovan.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be July 13, 2024 at 11:00 am in St. Joseph's Church, 741 Delaware Street, Forest City. Friends can visit at the church from 10 am until Mass time. Burial will be private. Arrangements entrusted to the Kevin M Lesjack Funeral Home, 513 Main Street, Forest City.
