Frances Katherine Kovacic, 87, of Uniondale, died Sunday afternoon at home. She was the wife of the late Evan Kovacic who died January 27, 1996. They were married on February 11, 1950.
Born December 1, 1922, in Canadian, TX, she was the daughter of the late William and Carmen Dickenson Crow. She was a member of the Roman Catholic Community of Forest City and Pleasant Mount, she was a 1940 graduate of Canadian High School and she earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Texas State College for Women, Denton, TX in 1944. Frances worked as a laboratory researcher for Phillips Petroleum Company, Borger, TX for 1944 to 1949. She has resided in Uniondale since 1979.
Surviving is a son William Kovacic and wife Kathryn Fenton, Clifton, VA; a daughter Mary and husband George Ippolito, Carbondale; a sister Elizabeth Wills, Hereford, TX; a granddaughter Jennifer and husband William F. Esbrandt, Jr., Dunmore; a grandson Christoper DeHaven and wife Jill, Uniondale; and two great-grandchildren Noah and Kaylee.
She was preceded in death by two brothers James Dickenson Crow and William Randolph Crow.
Funeral will be Saturday at 9:30am from the Kevin M. Lesjack Funeral Home, 513 Main Street, Forest City, with Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am in St. James Church, Pleasant Mount. Interment in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Forest City. Viewing Friday from 5 - 8pm.
