Frances Fleming

Frances Fleming, 96, Forest City, died Friday evening at the Forest City Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Lawrence Fleming. They were married for 61 years.

Born June 19, 1911, in Evanston, IL, she was the daughter of the late Frank Joseph and Ida Carpenter Heaney. She attended Evanston Schools and she earned a BA in Chemistry from Occidental College in Los Angeles. She was a school teacher for many years and acted as a business manager for her husband's Scientific Instrument Company. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by a son James Fleming, Amherst, MA and granddaughter Katherine Fleming, San Francisco, CA.

She was preceded in death by a brother Adrian Heaney and a sister Alice Heaney Welter.

Funeral arrangements are private by the Kevin M. Lesjack Funeral Home, Forest City.
