Florence S. Killiany, 80, of Forest City, died Wednesday evening at Marian Community Hospital. Her husband was the late Michael Killiany who died in 1986.
Born March 18, 1930, in Forest City, she was the the daughter of the late John and Cecelia Galinsky Para. A 1948 graduate of Forest City High School, Florence retired from the Pangee Dress Factory. She was a life time member of Sacred Heart Church, it's Altar and Rosary Society, a member of St. Cecelia's Choir, and a member of the Forest City Senior Center. Florence was an oil painter and a member of the Palette Pals, Forest City. She liked BINGO and enjoyed trips to the casino. She was also a dog lover. Florence was well loved by all her family and friends.
Surviving are sons Michael, Carbondale; Paul, Forest City; and Joseph, Carbondale; daughters Geri Gallagher, Carbondale; and Cece Rokavec, Forest City. Six grandchildren: Michael and Kris Gallacher; Dan Rokavec; Jessica and Emily Killiany and Kevin Killiany.; a brother-in-law Michael Polly and sisters-in-law Joann Para and Martha Killiany.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter Caroline, a twin sister Mildred Polly, and a brother John Para.
Funeral will be Saturday at 9:00 am from the Kevin M. Lesjack Funeral Home, 513 Main Street, Forest City, with Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am from Sacred Heart Church, Forest City. Interment in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Forest City.
