Felix Paul Prezelski

Felix Paul Prezelski, 91, Forest City, died Monday morning at the Carbondale Nursing Home. He was the husband of Mary O'Koren Prezelski. The couple would have celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on November 18.

Born October 17, 1922 in Forest City, he was the son of the late Frank and Pauline Kulikowski Prezelski. Felix graduated from Forest City High School in 1941. He was a life long member of St. Joseph's Church and one of 16 children. He was an avid outdoors man and enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was known for his large garden and he loved to bowl. He retired from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and also served as a part time police officer in Forest City. He served on the Forest City boro council and was a volunteer fireman.

He will be deeply missed by his wife, daughters, son-in-law, grandchildren, sister, brother, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Felix always had time to speak to everyone who stopped by and offer his love and encouragement.

Also surviving are two daughters, Patricia Prezelski, Honesdale, and Karen Schaefer and husband Andrew, Binghamton, NY; a grandson Andrew Felix Schaefer and granddaughter Stephanie Leah Schaefer; sister, Eleanor Smith, Parlin, NJ; and brother Julius Prezelski, Forest City; nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Preceded in death by a daughter Kathleen Gotts.

The funeral will be Friday at 11:30 am from the Kevin M. Lesjack Funeral Home, 513 Main St., Forest City, with Mass of Christian Burial at 12 noon in St. Joseph's Church, Forest City. Interment in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday from 4-7 pm.

Memorial contributions can be made in Felix's name to the Forest City Area Emergency Services, 380 Railroad Street, Forest City, PA 18421.
