Eleanor Kevis

Eleanor Kevis, 83, of Waymart, and formerly of Hancock, NY and Forest City, died Thursday morning at Wayne Memorial Hospital. Her husband is the late Michael Kevis.

Born December 11, 1927, in Forest City, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Bridget Kuzzacavage Purisky. She was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, Hancock, NY. She was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing at Lake Lorraine Golf Course. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Surviving are nieces and nephews including, R. Joseph, John, and James Purisky, and Helene Coulter, and Janine Purisky.

She was preceded in death by a brother R. Joseph Purisky and 3 sisters, Helen Zefran, Irene McLaughlin and Anne Wetterhahn.

Funeral Service will be Monday at 11:00 am in the Kevin M. Lesjack Funeral Home, 513 Main Street, Forest City. Interment, St. Anthony's Cemetery, Forest City. Viewing on Monday from 10 am until time of service.
