Obituary

Edward J Fotusky, 78, of Preston Twp, died Saturday, October 9, 2021 at home after battling many medical issues over the last few years.

Born January 5, 1943, in Carbondale, he was the son of the late Edmund and Helen Slick Fotusky. Born and raised in Forest City, Ed served his country in the US Air Force. Prior to retirement, Ed was employed by IBM and Sarasota Memorial Hospital. He was an avid outdoors man and talented cook. He spent his final years on Spruce Lake where he enjoyed many beautiful sunrises, glorious fall foliage, and the most amazing star filled skies. He spent countless hours hunting and fishing around the lake. Some of the greatest life long memories were made at “deer camp” each November. One of his favorite expeditions was fishing in Alaska alongside his son Mark.

He is at peace now, and is healthy and happy once again.

Ed is survived by his sons Mark (Jessica) Fotusky and Brian Fotusky; his step children, Scott Bartholomew and Maria (Eugene) Chambers; grandchildren Raechal (Alex) Siegel and Corey Fotusky; he is also survived by his previous wife Sandra Smith and many extended family members and friends. A special acknowledgment to his long time friend, Cindy Smith, who selflessly was always there for Ed.

Also preceded in death by a brother Charles Mark Fotusky.

A memorial visitation will be Friday October 29th from 5 to 7pm, with a blessing service at 7pm in the Kevin M. Lesjack Funeral Home, 513 Main St., Forest City.
