Donna L. (Shema) Sredenschek

Donna Sredenschek, 53, of Browndale, died Wednesday evening at Allied Hospice, Scranton. Her long time companion Leonard Curtis died in 2020.

Born July 8, 1967 in Carbondale. She is the daughter of Mary Ann Skubic Shema, Forest City and the late Frank Shema. She was a graduate of Forest City Regional High School and a member of Ascension Parish. Donna attained her paralegal degree from Penn State Worthington and was employed at Fields and Bianco Law Offices and most recently Briechle Law Office in Forest City.

Donna loved to garden and definitely had a green thumb. She enjoyed antiquing, riding her bike on the Rail Trails of Forest City, and turkey hunting. She was an all out great person to be around and is going to be missed by everyone who knew her.

Also surviving are a sister Debbie Sherman, Union Dale; a brother Frank Shema and wife Sandy, Forest City; nieces and nephews, Roger, Vanessa, Kyle, and Madeline great nieces and nephews, Jeremy, Colby, and Leah; aunt Tina Amadio; and uncle Marty Skubic.

Also preceded in death by great nephews Cody and Logan.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday at 10am in St. Joseph's Church, Forest City. Interment to follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Viewing will be Sunday from 3 – 6pm at the Kevin M. Lesjack Funeral Home, 513 Main Street, Forest City.

Masks are required and social distancing will be observed.
