Dolores Kutarnia

Dolores Kutarnia, 89, of Forest City, died Friday evening at the VNA Hospice Unit, Scranton. She was the widow of the late Frank Kutarnia.

Born April 28, 1922, in Forest City, she was the daughter of the late Felix and Mary Svetlin Skrajnar. She attended Forest City Schools and also took courses in Poughkeepsie, NY. She was a member of the American Slovenian Heritage Club, the American Legion, and VFW, Poughkeepsie. She belonged to the Palette Pals painting class and the Red Hat Society. She was a member of the former St. Joseph's Church, Forest City. Dolores worked for Schatz Federal Bearing, Poughkeepsie, and IBM, Fishkill, NY. She retired in 1983. She will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by two sisters, Marianne Sandler, Browndale and Terry Gliha, Manchester, CT, and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a daughter Sylvia; 2 brothers, Felix "Sparky" and Guy Skrajnar, and 2 sisters, Clara Curyk and Elsie Podolsky.

Cremation is through the Kevin M. Lesjack Funeral Home, 513 Main Street, Forest City.

A Memorial Service will be on Wednesday at 10:30am at Sacred Heart Church, Forest City. Interment, Sacred Heart Cemetery.
