Clarence Connor, 98, of Pleasant Mount, died Friday afternoon at home. His wife is the former Rose Seney. They were married for 74 years.
Born September 8, 1913 he was the son of the late Bernard and Theresa Stegerwald Connor. He was a member of St. James Church, Pleasant Mount. Prior to retirement Clarence worked for the state and the fish commission. He was also a farmer. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Also surviving is a son, William and wife Barbara Connor, Pleasant Mount; daughters Kathleen Connor, Pleasant Mount, Mary and husband James Reeder, Allentown, Patricia and husband Scott Mader, South Amboy, NJ; a daughter-in-law, Dorothy Connor, Hohokus, NJ; a brother, William Connor, Chenango Bridge, NY; a sister, Mildred Roodhof, Oneonta, NY; grandchildren, James W. Reeder, Christopher and Jason Mader; great granddaughter, Samantha Mader; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son Robert; brothers, Ray, Benjamin, Donald, Joe, Harold, and Bernard; and sisters Margaret Wilmont and Winifred Webster.
Funeral will be Tuesday at 9:30 am from the Kevin M. Lesjack Funeral Home, 513 Main Street, Forest City, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. James Church, Pleasant Mount. Interment St. James Cemetery, Pleasant Mount.
